I did something stupid
Read about Driver Cleaner Pro and thought it removed all older versions of a program, so I choose it to fix my ATI and Creative programs. Instead it removed it. Also the latest versions. If I go into my program folder, I have a Creative map with a lot of things. It is like it only deleted the register entries or somethings. What I know is, that when I boot I get the following error message: ----- CTTheme An invalid language ID is being set. Caller: VolumeControl Language ID: 1033 ----- Then I press OK and I get this message: ----- Creative Volume Control [blank] OK ----- With [blank] I mean it is an empty warning box. My question for you is: How do I completely remove my Creative Sound programs and then install them again? I DID go into Control Panel -> Add/Remove and deleted Creative Audigy 2 ZS driver + Media Source, but still it shows the icon at the clock "Creative Volume Control". When I click there, the message above appears with the error. I need that program as it makes my 7.1 work ![]() Hope you can help me fix my bad ... |

![]() But still maybe there is a problem with the driver cleaner pro removing the Audigy 2 ZS programs, as it clearly did not remove all. Still got those errors messages because it was trying to load that Volume Control thing at the clock ... If you want to look into it so others dont experience the same

The problem is, because you didn't follow the steps, because in the steps it says you need to uninstall first through add remove and then run Driver Cleaner.
But i will also see if i can update the cleaning file if i can find the audigy 2 programs and open them without installing.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I did the same thing as the original poster did and now I get the same errors. I guess I didn't real either but I am hoping you did figure out how to get this working again.

ok what you do is use the control panel's add or remove software panel to remove the drivers using the CL uninstaller
THEN you use driver cleaner to remove the remnants of the CL drivers after that you should be able to install any compatible drivers (official, you-pax, kX) just remember creative cards have trouble installing drivers if an unknown device doesn't show up in the device manager - a reboot generally fixes that

Yep try what Dj_Stick said. I am also still improving the creative cleaning file. I hope to release it soon with other updates as well. I am sorry it takes so long, but working on those cleaning files takes sometimes a long time.
