Driverheaven - ATI File Version 5.4

Here is a new version of DH ATI File Version. This program is small and will show from 9 important files the version number.
It will display what Catalyst version you have.

Added:
- Support for Catalyst 5.4
- Support for Catalyst 5.3
- Ability to change the color of the text

You can download it here.

Question regarding ATI File

I just ran Drive Cleaner Pro to remove all traces of the ATI driver from my computer. To check how it did, I then downloaded and ran the ATI File Version utility. It stills shows a Catalyst version on my computer (4.13.01.9039). Does this mean that Driver Cleaner Pro did not remove everything, or is this going to happen regardless?

Thanks,

Matt

mcomp72 i don't know if you followed the steps exactly, but it is possible that windows reinstalled the drivers. Sometimes windows will copy some older files back, because windows thinks they files are protected. It is no problem then, just reinstall the new drivers and they will be replaced by the new versions.

I switched cards

I swithced to an nVidia card, so I was hoping to get rid of the ATI driver completely. I already have the nVidia card installed along with it's driver, so I didn't run the program in Safe Mode. It cleaned all of the other parts of the driver (most of the others are listed as 'Not Found').

I'm not experiencing any issues with the new card, so maybe I should just leave it alone? I just wanted to remove all of the ATI stuff, because I've heard from others that if you don't, you can experience random problems with various programs from time to time.

If all works ok now then it is no problem to leave the files.

well, believe it or not, i am now having a problem, and someone told me to run Driver Cleaner Pro, which of course I had already done. He's my issue: my monitor is not shutting down after 30 minutes of inactivity, even though that is what the properties are set at. I posted at the nVidia forum, and someone thought it might be a conflict with an old ATI driver. I can't be sure if Driver Cleaner Pro removed everything, since ATI File Version 5.4 detects a version of Catalyst on my system.

How might I go about removing Catalyst completely to be sure that an ATI driver is not a cause of the problem?

uhm dc removes all, but there are a few files that will be set back by Windows. That is because windows protects them. Those files will not give problems, because they are not used anymore.

Have you also tried setting the monitor options to never and then reboot and set it back to 30 min?
