September
What was it about september
made me pause and remember summer breeze and flowers bloom laying in the shadows of my room so close we swore we would never let go stole kisses until we fell asleep, didnt care and didnt know. This summer day I stopped to hear the wind and birds sing remembered you there on the porch, relaxing on the swing. our bodies dancing in the tall grass by the lake enjoying the love we shared, dreaming of the love we would make How foolish it seemd we let it all go and walked away so long ago yet so clear in my mind...this september day. I miss you Regina, perhaps it was meant to be so the only love I miss now and the only one will truly know. In the twilight of my days I treasure the moments we knew would end As one life and one heart withers away...another love will begin. I walked past the gate and left the flowers where you lay. my heart will never forget, our love on this september day.
