Darkness follows a candle in the light,
Nothing matters in the dead of night.
Misshapen shadows twisting your mind,
Embracing thoughts that make you blind.

A river of coldness calms your soul,
Numbing the madness that you hold.
Moonlight glistens from the blade,
A plunging dagger makes you sane.

Give unto me and sleep well,
I will bring you heaven one step from hell.
Look into my eyes and see my disguise,
