The storm
It only took a minute And then it was gone but it left nothing coz it was a storm Might as well have dropped a bomb Right damn Smack In the middle of my heart How to pick the pieces when there's nothing left How to be a man in a world filled with fags Left pieces of me here ,there everywhere i went Grit my teeth, look in the sky, Aint no way in hell will this be the place I die!! Whisper somthing to maself, Put back my on my tattered vest I aint gonna quit even if this is hell Stare into the demons eyes with nothing short of a smile If that barrage o bullets was all you got!!!! my vest is waiting, and I'm still breathing! It only took a minute And everything was gone But it'll take more than a millions storms to kill tha Don

The fallen house A cold wind blows through the crumbling halls.... crying your name..... a name never heard. Fractured walls no longer able to hold the weight of thousands of years, shift subtly in the darkness. The ancient home stands briefly, with no support, dark windows crack suddenly, foundations crumble without a sound. Dust............ This, the winds scatter to the four corners....... .................................................. Will anyone wonder, in their passing, what once stood so proudly on this vacant lot? Did they ever see the warm glow on a winters night, showing through the stained glass of the old house........ the beauty, the magistry and detail..... the unique quality and the depth Or did they only see it as later ages shown, a place to be feared, shunned, ridiculed..... a haunted memory of what was supposed to be? (hint:....... it's not about a structure..... the house is the psyche)

Today Was a Good Day
Today was a good day, the cold breeze blowing up against my cheeks. The morning sun's heat, watching people go about their every day lives. Grateful husbands and wives, the voice of a new born cry. Today was a good day, I couldn't have imagined it any other way. The sound of a hammer, the spin of a saw, a smile from an unexpected awe. Today was a good day, I made it home okay. The dogs at the door to greet, waiting for their special treats, having a glass of wine, an easy pose to dine. Today was a good day. |

The Man Stands
The man stands, on the rocky hilltop, broken sword at his side. Battle wounds that are too deep to heal, wounds so deep that the wind blows through him. The wind has turned cold now, freezing what is left of his heart, his soul, his mind. Secure in the fact that he put up a good fight, yet somehow, it was not good enough. Comforted by the fact that he will soon meet his Gods and find out why he had to fight so hard. Yet "soon" may be measured in days, or months, or years. Spiritual wounds do not kill instantly; they weep and fester for a lifetime ... ......... or longer. The man stands, cold rain now washing away the sweat and the blood. It runs down and soaks in to the land that he loved, back to the earth from whence it came. A tear comes now, for all the battles lost, all the souls he could not save, for those that would not hear his words. It is shed for the love given, yet never understood, a true and honest love that was not enough. The tear drips into the sand and goes unnoticed, forgotten in the eons of man. Yet "eons" may be measured in years, or months, or days. All too soon do people forget the good and honest man, remembering instead the powerful, the wealthy, the famous

~Old Man~
Waiting for the right moment, gathering the feel, a fresh start at life despite his entities. Shallow, so shallow the old man crying, young people dying, a new born child, the new parents smiling, a piercing rush, kids on the old yellow school bus. The sky draws near, another old man tear, son grown up, his dad missed out on so much, trouble on the mind, paying for his crimes. A chapter closed, he will never know, another warm tear, another cold beer, more taunting fears. Reflections in the mirror, another sound clearer, the intensity draws nearer, but cries another old man lie. Shallow, so shallow no old man crying, only old men dying, no new born child, no parents smiling, a piercing rush, no more kids on the old yellow school bus. |

The man behind the mask, or the mask that entraps the man? In those brief seconds before the dawn, that minute instant before our ego takes hold, who is it that desides which mask to wear that day? And why is that one mask chosen over all the other ones? Is it the sad man that truely wants to be happy, Or is it the happy man that society forces to be sad? Who has more strength, the man with no legs who dreams of running even tho' he knows he can't, Or the man with good legs who wants to sit and has no dreams? Who has more talent, The artist, who from his multi-hued palate creates the perfect color, Or the blind man that sees this color in the darkness of night? Who has more riches, The simple man who found a shell as a child and holds it to this very day, Or the wealthy man that has so much he doesn't hold any of it? Who's song has more beauty, The critically acclaimed musician who leads a symphony of trained voices, Or the young unwed mother, singing a lullaby to her deaf child? Who has more power, Is it the champion of industry who holds the fate of thousands in his hand, Or the homeless man that wakes alone, looks out at the dirty street, and says "Good morning God" The one you choose the winner in these, will be determined by the one you allow to make the decision. The mask? or the man behind the mask? Who wins this insidious dance with death, called life?

I hear about love on the radio on television from friends at church from priests and mullahs, synagogues and temples, but....... why is true unabated love so completely utterly hidden and rare.
Something is definately not right. Why are we having less time for family and friends as the years go by and more time for "making money"? whatever that may mean(coz we all seem to be more and more broke! as the years go by)? Why are pyramid schemes called scams when one person owns KFC and all people all over the world pay a certain divident to that person. Disagree? who do you think owns Nike, you, me? Capitalism is a the best thing that happened for 80% of the worlds population.Opening up more markets will really "get things going" Is it fair that the enviroment is getting raped for the greed of a few while the multitudes suffer from hunger Dont some people recognize that some priests/prophets only preach for money! Sad I know, They are polluting Christs image and message. Pisses me off! Whats up with reality is relative and "and its only real if you want it to be"? This is just an excuse for people to account for all the things they just fail to understand! I'll tell ya whats real, selfishness and greed has clouded pure motive justice and love, wherence love and truth is one color lies marr & multiply truth. Thats wasup Oprah lol The sky really is falling Chicken Little!! If you aint gettin married soon it aint love, its an imitation sister! If anyone of true motive and pure heart would arise to help this falling world we would hail him with stones laugh him to scorn and call him a fool, but his name and glory will remain while we would become forgotten. Wealth is love and love is wealth no nation or peoples will ever , ever prosper without it! Money and hedonism "self gratification" are the gods or our age rending us helpless to change this earth for the better. God comes to those who stop looking to themselves for answers, therence the beginning and end to all!!
