"The Book With No Name" by Anonymous

Has anyone hear read "The Book With No Name" by Anonymous? It's a pretty good read. The general gist of the plot is a whole crowd of characters trying to get their hands on a stolen gem, that belongs to some mad monk cult on an island somewhere, and they all need it before the eclipse of the sun happens in a few days time. It's all a bit hopelessly American - especially the narrative - but it's all in good fun and makes for a very entertaining story. There's plenty humour, a lot of violence, and plenty of excitement. Should it ever get made into a film, the boxing scene will be a hoot!

Apparently it was an "internet sensation" but I hadn't heard of it until Amazon recommended it to me. Little did I know there was a followup book to, titled "The Eye of the Moon" (titled after the name of the gem, but don't look it up if you like the sound of the first, because it'll give a lot away) which I've ordered.

And to think, I only bought it because I liked the tiny accidental Elliott Smith reference in the title.

Doesn't it technically have a name, if it says it has no name? If it had no name it'd be blank.

The plot sounds interesting at least.
