As we slept,
silence and dark,
shatters and matters
break our peace.

So then,
come the beast,
with metal teeth,
crashing through
the forest.

The Trees fall
like thunder,
I climb out from
slumber, save
my little one's tears.

I run and shout,
but all I hear is a roar,
in a voice i`ve never heard
before.

I get my spear, to pierce
its skin, but just hear a
strange sound,
hollow like emptiness.

My home is now gone,
The trees cleared,
for what,
someone's luxury and a
fat belly.

The consumer,
a taker, without thought,
brought bulldozers,
with a silent embrace,
into paradise.
