Classical Music
I've decided to make classical music my staple listening diet and even though I used to listen to it when I was young, I didn't listen to a lot of it. Any classical music listeners in here? If so do you have any good songs to listen to you can share and the experience it makes you feel when you listen to it, thank you.

Re: Classical Music
i love classical music since i saw the movie 'exalibur'. a part of the soundtrack was the peace 'oh fortuna' from 'Carmina Burana'.
you can watch carmina burana on University of California Television 'oh fortuna' is now a little bit a cliche, because commercials, wrestlers, rockbands used this song to death. this music is not very complicated but full of beauty and emotions. second one: 'pitcures at an exhibition' - Modest Mussorgsky , in orchestral version Maurice Ravel. this music is full of colors, very grounded. Very good rockband interprations form Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Mekong Delta.

Re: Classical Music
I like to listen occasionally but the problem I have is I can never remember the names or titles of the pieces.
There is a piece that I really like but I cannot remember the name of the track. It's possibly by Sibelius and has an operatic style opening. It was used in a program about the Nazi's called 'The Final Solution' or something but I always turned it off if it came on because I don't want to associate that music with the holocaust. There's another piece by Grieg that I like - a piece for strings that is quite impressionistic, a little like Barber's Adagio for strings. Again I cannot remember the title. The Peer Gynt suite by Grieg is good though. |

Re: Classical Music
I listen to quite a bit of classical, as it is beyond awesome at stirring the soul. I suppose we can start off with
Grieg - Piano Concerto in A Minor - 1st movement Chopin - Piano Concerto in F minor - II Larghetto Tchaikovski - Piano Concerto No 1 - 1st movement Beethoven - Piano Concerto No 5 "Emperor" - 2nd movment Grieg - Piano Concerto in A minor - 3rd movement starts about 50 seconds in Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto No 2 - 1st movement Dvorak - 9th Symphony - 4th movement Brahms's Andante from his 2nd piano concerto, here's the second part. Hope this supplements your playlist
