wrote this for a girl......

ive written a lots of songs/poems in my dayz but for some reason i like this one. its about when we die we think about our loved ones.

lessons----

Revelance, deliverance, ignorance,

necessary things that come in increments,

the lies and the bullshit that were fed,

is enough to make us whip out the lead,

how can so many people believe,

that we went into this war for these people to be freed,

you can't trust anyone these days,
i would know, for i have been betrayed,

this nation that was once so great,

has turned to shit for the profits to be made,

one thing in life is all we need,
and that is friendship, we should seek,

that inadequacy of which,

has made our future so damn bleek,

i know one day the end will come,

when our home soil is bombed just for fun,

and when our destiny is finally brought forth,

hopefully the lessons weve learned will not be ignored,

for it would be a shame, to replicate this game,

because everywhere i look, all i see,

is the obscurity for which we believe,

that the pleasure we seek is abundant in currency,

the things we want are everywhere to be seen,

but we need to forge ties with human beings,

and forget about those damn material things,

which cause us to create unforgettable bad dreams,

so lord i wish to say, i thank ya,

for the creation of a beautiful angel named Bianca,

and when that day does arise,

she will be the last thought on my mind,

for she is an extraordinary find,

i shall cherish her love and devotion,

cause without it i would have no emotion,

so in my last words to you i say,

that all we need to do is pray,

for everyone to get along, day after day...

And being a soldier in the Oz Army, I found the reference to our involvment in Iraq, and and the the way we'vew been decieved by our goverment into going there quite apt. When I was there, all I could think about was getting home to my girl and making sure we both made the most out of our good fortune in being together, and I discovered a new found appreciation for just how fortunate those of us who live in a peaceful and relatively safe country are! Unfortunately she left me as soon as she found out that despite my experiences, I was signing on for another 6 years (or at least that's what she said - personally, I think she knew that once HL2 came out, she wouldn't see me for 6 months

)
