I'm sure that at a modest rate of 1 present per 5 minutes you can get your entire extended family and friends taken care of in an afternoon.

I'mma say Jay-Z, Nas, Tech N9ne, and a few others.
They've worked really hard and deserve what they have and more.

Eminem, I'm not gonna say he's the greatest, but he's pretty much average, just a gimmick in my opinion, but hate on me if you want, he fell off way back then.

I like Eminem, and he is probably my favourite. I listened to clips of Encore and wasn't very excited about it. I mean I am a guy who loves his eh songs and I listen to him everyday (not 24h but you get the picture), still after the above clips (just 30s each) and watching the videos of Just Lose It and Mosh (though Mosh was ok), I am getting the feeling he was very bored when he wrote these songs. I mean, for the first time I got bored listening to him. I believe he is a master in terms of lyrics but why the fudge doesn't he even try this year? His D12 albums are good, much better than Encore.
About other rappers, well, I am not nearly as knowledgable as for other types of music, but, there are a couple of rappers that I like their work a lot. "The Streets" are very interesting, DMX has occasionaly a good piece, D12 are good but not excellent, Kanye West is fun (All Falls Down, is nice), Trick DAddy (with the almost excellent Let's Go featuring Twista & Lil' Jon), Snoop Dogg etc.
Ok, enough "chatting", time to load Galactic Civilizations with some custom playlist for music (Till I collapse, Blood on the dance floor, Say you will, My Way, Drop it like it's hot, Battle without honor or humanity, blade runner soundtrack, etc) :-)

for me the best rapper was 2PAC, but he's dead and turned into a legend. the greatest rapper alive today for me is NAS. I love the way he takes the beat of old songs and put some great lyrics on them. But before calling him a copycat, he also knows how to make music himself.
