Alone

Well, I wrote this a very long time ago. And I just found it in my storage of my E-Mail account, so, I thought I'd post it here since I can't really write anything new at the moment (Blocked

).

I am going to try and write something new, but until then, I am going to re-hash my old stuff d(^_^)b

(This must be what Nintendo feels like.)

Alone.
He tries not to see the joy in their faces, the happiness in their eyes, and
wonders: how would it feel to have a warm and loving home. To have somewhere
to go when the world turns its back on you.
But he promises: I will never cry. My eyes will never again shed tears. I
will be independent, I will be alone.

He looks away, far off into the distance. The grass and the leaves sway
welcomingly. They seem to be calling to him, welcoming him into their group.
He wonders if he should join them, be like them, without a care in the
world.
And he promises: I will never cry. My eyes will never again shed tears. I
will be independent, I will be alone.

He tries to numb his heart; bury his feelings deep inside him. He will leave
these people and animals who think of him only as an outcast; an outsider.
That is what he truly is and was, but now he will leave this world that has
never done him anything but degraded him.
So he promises: I will never cry. My eyes will never again shed tears. I
will be independent, I will be alone.

He will not, he must not succumb to the continuous spite and hatred all
around him. He will douse the flames of anger with his pure water; yet only
the destruction will stay. It will haunt him, and leave his life only in
ashes.
Yet he promises: I will never cry. My eyes will never again shed tears. I
will be independent, I will be alone.

And so he will.

that story reminds me of the columbine shooting for some odd reason..

I'm not sure how to feel about that, Jeff.

Anyway, it was touching. I once had the idea to have a guy go to shoot up his school, but his best friend does the same thing on the same day and the main character ends up using what weapons he originally brought to the school to save the people in it, instead of kill them. It's when he sees the slaughter his former friend is committing that his mind and heart change.

Actually no. In school I grew tall too fast to be picked on, I was bigger than everyone else.
