Xenogears Poem

Anyone who's played Xenogears will undestand this poem from the view of a minor character in the game. Anyone who hasn't... ummm... short version...

Alice is in love with Fei (main character) but is to marry another person. Before she can do anything about this, both she and her fiance die.

The following is Alice's thoughts after death.

“Fei…”

Lost… in a void without meaning

Hearing voices, angry and shrill.

“You killed her, it’s your fault!”

Killed, is that what this is?

“Fei…”

I want what was denied

Life, the choice to breath.

No one must be blamed

It isn’t his fault

“Fei…”

Try to tell, tried to explain.

I’ll never get the chance

To say what I really mean

When I see his eyes

“Fei…”

I know I need…

Send him away.

Because that’s what’s right.

Miss my chance

“Fei…”

Want to call time-out

He’s getting away

I shouldn’t feel this

This betrayal of heart

“Fei…”

I sent him away

Away from my self

But not from my heart

Try as I might

“Fei…”

Timothy may hear

So I must try

To keep my heart

Within its cage

“Fei…”

No chance now

I sent him away

Tried to call him back

Now I’m gone

“Fei…”

Lost… in a void without meaning

Only voices to hear

“It’s your fault Fei.”

No it’s not.

“Fei… I love you Fei.”
