Redeeming Hope

Hope, redeem thy

truth once lost as

faith in all who lie

just beyond a mortal pass

falls from mind and

heart. Find strength where

immortal souls rest, in a land

far past our sight. Our care

will surpass that of others

should we only recieve what

has been so denied our brothers.

The way to souls return may shut

the door which finds this empy heart.

Drop thou vow of silent watch

and stories of those we love, start

the telling. To thy bow of faith, notch

and arrow, for all may find

such simple words as hello

or goodbye to be an act as kind

as ever recieved, if they come from fellow

lost to sweet embrace of shadows grasp.

If such words surpass what may

be heard, then a mere gasp

from those who rest where we one day

shall lie. Give us reason

to believe that life exists beyond all

we see as the mortal season,

a way to see where we as men shall fall.
