My old face..

As a boy I yearned for the sanctuary of a warm embrace
a tender kiss, a soft hand and a pretty face.

becoming a man I sought the ample bosum and a temple of pure chastity
to bear my children, mantle them from the cold and all adversity

As a traveller I sought the flavors of women and their sweetness remains today
from the folds of the silk sheets in their chambers I learned to love and play

my temples are gray and the world has changed and I recall what I regret
for all the endeavors and futile pursuits it is love that I have not found yet.

I have nothing to give but savor the tenderness and the warm embrace.
of the children and grandchildren that wait for my smile...and plant kisses upon my old face.
