Halo

Lips are sealed by the broken promises you keep inside.

Hook in mouth reflects the intentions that you tried to confide.

Something is lacking; communication wears thin.

Cumbersome are my thoughts that rest upon the head of a pin.

Enjoy the bitter sweet taste of the agitated carnivorous beast.

Overwhelming urges force me to salivate, so begins the feast.

Inside starring out through this transparent skin,

Switching sides from obscurity with a devilish grin.

Swirling winds conjure a smell of discontent.

You’re the reason for this agonizing torment.

Obtainable are the signs which I have chosen to ignore.

To where the river flows carrying with it the spoils of war.

Lonely I am in this cold dark room.

Ravens are cawing; the moon casts a disheartening gloom.

I have chosen to stare into a face with no remorse.

Lascivious are your thoughts you have chosen to enforce.

Written is the last chapter in your book of life.

Hand clinched; sweaty palm; exposed knife.

I have released you, a sinner you are no more.

A halo you have sought; a halo you shall find beyond this door.
