I'm getting a kitten as soon as I move off campus, and am gunna name it "Tooki" [pronounced too-key]

That is one expensive dog!

I'd suggest always getting two puppies (unless you already have an older dog to keep them company). Dogs get lonely and bored by themselves... and will often take their frustration out with destructive tendencies.

As to housebreaking... I've tried different things over the years, but my best success was taking them to bed with me to sleep. When they got restless, I'd take them outside. Dogs will not generally pee in their own bedding unless forced to.

Of course, 10 years later, both dogs (Rat Terriers) are permanent bed partners. Fortunately, I got them after my divorce so they are quite welcome to share my kingsize waterbed!

I knew a dog named "git"... swear to God. The totally funny thing was, the dog actually would stutter no matter what when it came in and out of doors.. or when anyone called it..

Git git! (telling it to get out or move) Come here Git! The dog was always confused as hell.. Almost bordering on messed up in the head, all because some moron let their 7 year old kid name the dog. They asked the kid, "what should we name this dog?" The kid says, well, since we are always saying "git" to it, we should name it "Git".. and they did! Totally true story.. it was a Pomeranian that was about as confused as any dog I have ever seen.

The people that owned it were total hill-billy hicks too... LOL.. That poor dog.

Your dog is pretty nice. And if you think those names are weird, this is what we've named some of the dogs that we've had over the years(and it was the rest of the family, I had nothing to do with it, honest)

-Girlie
-Snowy
-Bruno (but that was a good one coz you should have seen the dog lol, fat as hell

and always in a fight with the other ones)
-Boxer
-Roxy
-Winter
-Wolfy

Man, I can't go on. And most of those names were based wholly on the way the dog looked. My little sis and brother who were very young at the time were mostly to blame.

Edit: And Roxy was a male dog btw.

Thanks for the tip! The problem is that because the dog was adopted from a shelter, she spent her days in a cage and got used to urinate in there. Before we brought her home, she had never even stepped outside. So in short, I'm reluctant to let her sleep in our bed in fear that she would soil it but if I leave her in her cage for the night, she cries all night. Ugh. I still haven't gotten any sleep.
