some Yellowstone pics ~~56k don't bother

I took 4GB of photos (I think over 1600) of our trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone exactly one year ago. I think I am going to start sketching and painting using them and memory as a reference. It would be the first serious artwork I will have done in quite a few years.

My fav place on the planet so far- Lamar Valley

One of the big guys that let me get close.

it was on this trail

down near the Tetons - My wife stuck camera out the window while driving about 65MPH.. Optical image stabilization is pretty good on the little thing.

Spasm geyser

I actually got this pic with a tiny little Canon SD800 IS Digital ELPH..

Maybe someday soon I can start posting some actual artwork based of some of these. (and then sell them for extra $$ of course)

just watch out for these guys! he was chillen on the side of the road about 60 yards up a hill last summer on my way out of the east entrance of yellowstone.

thanks for comments.. I did see and get shots of more wildlife including a black
and brown bear both with cubs, a couple moose, lots of elk, some coyote, etc.
It was definitely something to see. I'll have to post some of those pics up too.

Excellent photos, we have some stunning countryside in England too, but sadly not that kind of wildlife to photograph.

Yellowstone is certainly on my to do list.

WOW BWX. I remember you sayin' you were goin' Jellystone and you were gonna take some pics. I was away a while and never saw them. Thanks to Nicotchtch, who just bumped this thread to the top, I have now. They are some truly awesome 'photos. Might use one for my desktop if that's okay? Are you going to post any more (out of your miniscule 4GB library)?

sadly, England cannot remotely compare to America, but Scotland and Ireland is pretty beautiful.

Thanks again for compliments on pics..

I am moving this month... for the first time in quite a few years. Getting separated from my wife, etc.. (don't feel bad- I'll be better off, LOL)

My PC and all photos are coming w/ me. When I get settled into my new location I'll definitely take the time to post some more pics.. All originals are 7.1MP.. So yeah if anyone wants an original, just PM me. It might take a while though, until I get moved out of here and set up at new location.

I would still have quite a few thousand $$ left if I didn't leave it in a joint account with my wife.
The $$ I spent on that trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons in 2007 weren't cheap, but well worth
it though. You can't put a price on experiencing that scenery in person.
