I made a Desktop image for Driverheaven members, based on a peaceful and soothing space image made in various programs, hopefully some of you may use it as your background image.

To download the image in a variety of resolutions to cater for everyone, head into This section

Hope you guys like it, ive attempted to make a nice clean desktop image without all the usual clutter and high bright tones which cause eye strain!

Zardon,

It is a great desktop background indeed. However, I would have preferred the "driverheaven.net" text to be more discreet; like on the bottom right-hand side (similar to your signature)...I like "driverheaven.net" (being a member) but I think it's too visible and big within this great background...

there you go,, I really should have used BMPS, I see even at top quality the jpegs arent handling the fine tones of the image.

if anyone wants a BMP of the 1600x1200 version drop me a PM or email

UPDATE: guys ive updated the webpage, with two ultra high res versions saved as self decompressing ZIP EXE archives, these will decompress to BMP format. BMP format will handle all the tones in the image alot better than even the highest quality setting for JPEG as they have some compression, BMP doesnt. There is also a V2 high res version with smaller Driverheaven.net text.

you can of course yourselves resize the image to whatever your desktop is if you wish but windows should rescale them for you automatically if you dont know how to.

well firstly. I wanted the name to be clearly seen, but I understand you wanting it smaller. moving it off center would affect the image composition as its meant to be lighting up from the DH planet on the lower right.

nice pic of the game, but the dude seriously needs to cut his nails !

You should have used PNG, it's lossless.
