That's a brilliant photo considering the speed it must have been doing at the time you clicked the button.

I love the annual 'Battle of Britain Day' when several Spitfire and Lancaster bombers do flypasts over RAF Bentley Priory.

If you ever get a chance to visit Bentley Priory it's tailor-made for some of your photograpic work. I've been in there on counteless occasions through work before it was moth-balled by the RAF. A truly stunning building with magnificent architecture and artwork.

I was fortunate to get some first hand look at the Griffon and Merlin Rolls Royce engines when they retrofitted some Sptis recently and its so labour intensive, but I marvel at how the engines purr. I think these engines share alot in common with high revving motorcycle engines in terms of power to wieght ratio and the manifold and cylinder designs took a huge leap during the war years. Just watching them fly is enough for me and this chap buzzed the field at about 300 knots. I have some hurricane pics too if you want, I can post them as well.
