Biggleswade TC Or...The Twilight zone?

After last years Camera purchase (A P&S Canon Powershot A460) totally failed to work outdoors at night, I didn't know what to expect when I ventured outside to try a few quick snaps with my new P&S cam.

A few notes, yet again no Photoshopping here, I will end up playing with my pictures, but at the moment I want to see what I can do with the basics, also, the Anti shake system never bargained for an idiot like me using it, hence the...interesting shots (That said, if you can answer why some random items are in sharp focus you're better than me).

Enjoy (Epic Post inc):

I like night shots, nothing like the Crown on the corner and few plebians outside enjoying the night air eh? I have resorted to a tripod and a remote because my hand is so shaking even with a high ISO, my shots end up looking all rubbish if I am not a bit patient though..
good work.

Yeah I think a tripod will be my next investment, as will working out exactly how to use manual focus :/

Thanks very much :-)
