System Specs

My new camera as pictured by my old one.

Good morning all

One of the most fun things about my old camera (A Canon Powershot A460) was its ability to take decent Macro pictures, my new Camera, a Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd takes that even further, negating the need for flash by having a 1cm Super Macro range and using up to a 4 second exposure time.

Both pictures were taken with both cameras sat on my computer desk, and both are close ups of the most important bit, the lens. The Canon required flash to get an acceptable picture, hence the lighting, the Finepix used its maximum exposure time to get as much detail out of the picture as possible, enjoy!

Notice the difference in lens sizes, I paid £100 for the Canon last year (With a Selphy photo printer), I paid £110 for the Finepix, it's amazing what a year does to prices (The Finepix S8000fd was launched last year at around £250).
