This is a 2 part thread...

First of all i would like to introduce you to my New nephew born on the 28th of october.



And



The second part of my request is i need these two pics to be resized.I have not had trouble before resizing images via Paint.Net (Latest Version) but due to the size the outcome is F**ked up.IE Widescreen effect.

I Require these two to be 9cm wide and 13cm in depth.

Im currently making a New Baby Picture frame for my sis. This will be very much appreciated.

Aww, very cute indeed.

I've had no trouble with Paint.net, as long as I keep the aspect ratio tickbox checked they come out correctly.

Also....the 2nd pic is a dead link

Edit: Ah, I'm guessing the pictures were taken with the camera shifted 90 degrees in order to create a proper portrait size? If so resizing should be dead easy.

Just to let you know the first pic i have taken from Facebook which was taken from the fathers side of the family.

The second pic was taken by myself.Which i very much like as i cought him with his eyes open. And only something like 22 or 23 hours old.

I have kept the aspect ratio tick box checked..And when i try to resize them to to the size i require they are reproduced in wide screen.Which makes him look 2 foot tall and 2 inch's wide.

Its thes two pics i have added to the short list for the Centre pic of the frame.I want to see what looks the best after the edit.

Over time his first Bath,First Tooth,First Smile & First Step will be added.

I can see the problem with the 2nd pic now, the aspect ratio is nearly 1:1, by trying to change it automatically, it has to skew the picture to fit the entire frame.

The solution is simple, you'll have to crop the picture to your desired ratio, THEN resize it, that way you'll keep the picture correct. Yes you'll lose some of the picture, but theres no way to create a print sized picture out of a square one otherwise.

No worries, and congrats to your sister, enjoy your new nephew.

As an uncle to 2 little angelic boys myself, I can attest that being an uncle is the best position ever, you get to hold and play with the kids when they are quiet and happy, and the moment they cry, "Hey sis, we have an issue here" haha.

On a random note I am heading back down to Swindon in 2 weeks to see my folks (My sisters 21st incidentally) and I will be taking lots of pics :P

If only you knew the age gaps in my family you would be a little surprised in some ways..

This is how it goes.

My Oldest Sister @ 44 has 2 sons.One at 20 and the other at 18.

My second oldest Sister @ 42 has one Daughter.She is 22 (23 in december)

Then here i fit in place @ 35 No Spouce or children (And happy this way)

Then my youngest sister @ 27 with one Son (Pictured Above) which to the time of this post is now three days old.

So being Proud of 3 Nephews and one neice goes with out saying... our family are extremely close.

It sure is.... Even though my sis put us through a nervous 48hrs... When you consider that im a touch short of 6 foot tall and around 11.5 -12 stone in weight.

My sis (the mother) does not come close to my shoulders and is probably around 7 stone Max.Having a 8lb 8oz baby is HUGE.

She went through 36hours of hell trying to give birth naturally... and ended up having a Cesarean op.

Yikes, that's not small by any means, that said the weight of a baby doesn't always equal complications, it's more bad luck than anything.

Anyway, I hope both Mother and baby are doing well and I wish the all the best for the future

My oldest sisters second son was 9lb 6oz on birth..So my youngest sis should count her blessings !

We use Stone & Pounds to scale our weight in the uk.

As the Americans tend to use Pounds instead..

it converts to something around 1 stone = 14lb's.So im around 12 stone & that would make my weight around 168lb's
