Seriously though, you've probably said before but I can't seem to find it, what is it?

Re: Kentford fields and Sky

This is my Canon Rebel XSi, with a Tamron 18 - 250 lense, nothing special
I like the Sigma and Tamron lenses for value, but I have the EFS series lenses too.
I opted to get a EOS 50 D, but I thought I might master a few basic techniques.
A Camera is only as good as the imagination and skill of the photographer and then there is just blind luck. The new Sony Camera's are a value as well, but I prefer to just hang on to my money while I practice right now.
I had my most fun with an old Olympus 300 series but I have think I gave it away some years ago. I have enjoyed the Nikon 700 and 60 and the whole EOS series from Canon but this Camera just feels right.

Ah, that's the EOS 450D isn't it? No wonder your shots are awesome (One of the people at my work has the EOD 400D which is a truly brilliant camera itself.)

So remember this, I hate you! Next year I will buy an SLR, the camera itself isn't the main expense any more, those bloody lenses are, hence I went for an S8000fd first to make sure that photography was for me, I can now safely say that I am hooked!

Re: Kentford fields and Sky

next year hopefully the prices for cameras might come down a bit, since almost all of them I'd wager will have a full frame sensor and wiegh less, but then who knows. The new Lumix series cameras are darn good too.
