SOTW #1 (15/06/09) Entry Thread

It's time for the new resurrected Sig of the Week competition. The competition is open to anybody but staff and you are allowed to use whatever application(s) you like to make your entry.

Provided it's under roughly 500x150 pixels it's all cool

Please, please do. I have photoshop essentials and I guess I could download gimp. Knowing what to do with them is something else entirely!!

The thing is, without a tutorial, my entry would only be an ms paint job like CDs, a photo that I wouldn't be able to do anything with due to lack of knowledge or what I entered.

@ Mousey: This wasn't meant to take the p*ss. No disrespect to you or the competition intended. I just wanted to do an entry of some sort and it was all I could 'create'.

Okay........... this isn't DH specific and it's not new, but it's never been entered before. This is a banner for one of my music projects that I made a few years ago. May not even be technically correct for DH size restrictions, etc. but.....

Just wanted something "real" up here so Mousey doesn't get discouraged with his contest. I really am not looking to win, but seriously guys.... fun is fun but Mousey is actually doing good here, so give him a break.

Well I've deleted my previous entry as I have managed to learn something today. So here is my official entry (although I still don't really like it and will keep experimenting with different things over the next few days to improve for next time). Created from photos I took in Italy and in Mexico

I apllied the tutorial although there were some parts where Felt lost especially in the 2nd page , but I tried the best I could (Used the render of Red Faction Game)
Mousey , Can you just make the coming PDF files smaller , it is weired to see one PDF file at 15 MB and my bandwidth is slow

, also should I choose one entry to enter or multiple entries are allowed

Edit: Removed the text as it distorted the image.

I think it is late, but I'll post it anyway just to increase the number of entrys.
I took a few Blade Runner pictures including the one in my avatar, made them blue and stitched together using the GIMP.

And here is the result
