The Castle (full size, not dial up friendly)

I thought the water reflection added quite a lot to this, captured with a fast shutter speed and low iso to maintain detail and to keep the water sharp and full of diversity. Taken with D90 and 18-200mm Nikon Lens.

Re: The Castle (full size, not dial up friendly)

Yeah this is raw off the camera with RAW - landscape setting. ideally I would have liked to use a filter on the lens to enhance the blues of the sky a little, but tbh the focus should be on the castle. easy enough to enhance the colours a little on the sky later if needed.

ive a ton of architectural shots, its a little hobby of mine, no matter where I go I always find a church or a graveyard and outhouse and take shots.

Im an odd chap I guess but they make for some atmospheric pictures especially when playing with photoshop and various techniques.

I love that genre, I have man of warwick and castle rising, and fountains abbey, I would look forward to any pics that you have, I waited all day for Elizabetka to drive me to Duxford and nearly missed the Spitfire show. I am so happy I got to see your work again.
Its been a good bloody long while Allan, and I have nothing, and I mean nothing better to do when I get off of work now, so please, if you have more pics please post them or send them to me.
Once I am off the meds again I will travel and get more pics.
which software do you use to do the Raw with. I have NX2 but I havent loaded it yet.

God that's gorgeous! The range of earthy colors... You got an outstanding depth of field on that too! Just marvelous...

Sounds like you need to see Helsinki's sights... There are some nice landscapes and buildings that you would like.
