Re: Montjac in the deep grass

I really like that jeff lovely vibrancy. I hope you don't mind me altering it slightly but the yellowish tinges on either side of the bottom of the image due to zoom blur on the foliage slightly detracts from the overall composition

I hope thats ok If not ill remove it, I mean no offense mate.

Re: Montjac in the deep grass

I appreciate it, I nearly fell over when this fellow just walked out while I was poised above some Dragonflys at rest. He moved very quickly and I was actually set up for a closeup with my Sigma Lense on my Nikon. I wished I could have swapped the lenses but my Slovakian friend kept whispering "Proceem" and pointing over the top of the grass while I stood in four inches of water, LOL.
I edited it rather quickly in adobe or NX2, cant remember, LOL
looks damn site better.
MUCHOS GRACIAS

Re: Montjac in the deep grass

sure will, thanx Allan.
you know, looking at him, I can bet he knew I was there for quite some time before he appeared. sure are tolerant beasts but I think maybe the good lord gave them a sort of soul or sense just like us.
They look right through you sometimes.

All animals have a soul, Jeff....... That's the one bit I don't get about people, as if we are the only ones allowed a soul.

Excellent photo, and nice cleanup by Z also......

Re: Montjac in the deep grass

awesome shot old man I love it. reminds me of hunting with my old man as a child and a nice size Doe walked right out in front of us and bounced up the hill. I never even raised the gun just stood there in awe

Re: Montjac in the deep grass

yeah man...it was one of those really loud "quiet moments".
My father is the consumate hunter as well, but I couldnt bring myself to
lower a barrel at such a magnificent creature.
I missed two doe and a fawn I think, judging by their tracks, my Slovakian friend was spotting for me.
