Many Thanks mate... This holiday to Portugal were the second time i ventured out of the uk.. and i loved it..And this one surpassed my previous holiday from two and a half years ago..

It nearly turned into a disaster on the last day... this were not just a holiday for me alone,I went with my family to to give my mother & father a holiday to remember while they have some time to live.. As they are both in the 70's and this was the first trip outside the uk for 45 years..

I had a total shock to wake up from a snooze (and just in time) by the pool at our appartments to find my dad struggling to gain breath and to keep above water after falling into the deep end of the swimming pool..I have no idea how it happend even today..It's certainly not easy dragging out a 13 stone man out of the water after 3 beers and a Cheese Burger.

My dad ias Deaf & Dumb and can not swim which added to the problems.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and glad the whole thing with your dad didn't turn into a disaster, just noticed this thread nice pictures , i find that most churches have a nice architectural feel to them i think they do that to attract people more than anything else

Its the colourful style most of the European Church's have which makes them very pleasing to look at.

Personally im fine mate...

My holiday were in Albufeira in the Algarve... And was very pleasing.Every day apart from one were in the 30's... With no clouds at all..

very peaceful area and it sure made a change to see a family based area.... No sign of the usual English twits who can't take the drink and create fights due to that reason.

I don't rate the Portuguese drivers very much..They are so crazy with the overtaking habits they often left me a little on edge..

Ill try to post a few more pics when i get some time.
