Great shots Jeff, really typical shots of how i'd imagine these places to be, reminds me of Gilmore Girls.

Re: Views from my town and home
Its a tourist town now, because it has no real industry other than the military of which there are five bases, but also it was settled by miners and their families and grew around a railroad that brought silver and gold out of the mountains. It became famous at the turn of the 1900s as a resort town and sanitarium for tuberculosis patients. The poem America the Beautiful was penned here as well.
Its a mixture of left and right wing politics and probably exposes the wider demographic you might find all over America. Unfortunately like every frontier town, it has its share of poverty, economic depression and illegal labor, that and the military presence drives down wages and ensures a population of people one pay check away from financial disaster. Companies come and go and I have worked for a few of them. Every chance I get, I climb as high as I can and enjoy the crisp, clean air and beautiful skys. I would never trade it for Perth, Canberra, New York, Tokyo or London or even Iraklion Crete, I really feel like this is where I might settle down one day. But I am only 50 years old and I have alot of travelling to do.
