System Specs

ReadPhotoshop - Small project :)

Was hoping to try build a site to sell e-books with the lazy man's way - Set and forget Finally decided to put the project into motion this morning after a sleepless night (my mate was here and wouldn't stop snoring lol). Here's what i've got so far

  • The content pane on the left is now dynamic and will fetch content from an external file, Assign a random ID to it then display a random ID (atm it's set to display 3) on the site, Effectively making it a completely random content generator. This will do until i can be either be bothered making or implementing a Content Management System which will store content in a database rather than on the file server.
  • The Sidepanel's greeting changes depending on what time you login to the site, Between midnight and 11.59am it displays Good Morning from ReadPhotoshop.com, Afterwards it's Good Afternoon and then Good Evening ect. Still trying to implement some code that displays the current time and date but PHP is a cruel mistress
  • When you hover over the logo it will display this -
  • The footer containing the respective property notice now sticks to the bottom of the user's web browser and stays there
  • The site is now fully fluid and will expand accordingly to user added content
  • Some features i'm thinking of for the future are an E-Commerce system for automatic transactions and some form of registration system that allows you to make 1 click purchases through PayPal
  • Links in the navbar will be replaced with images as soon as i can be bothered making some
