Meerkats I have been informed do not make good pets, they tend to dominate and chew on everything. There is a female that reminds me of Flower though, I just love them.

The Meerkats are so interesting, even though they have a tiny world they live in, at the zoo they scamper and run about and act like people. I suppose they are not morning creatures either.

My partner has a new child on her case load next month and they found out he has a pet meerkat on the first home visit. It was very playful but they do nip and with those teeth a nip can easily break the skin. Apparently it's not good for them to be kept as pets as they need company and tend to live with 10-30 others, so keeping a solitary one or two in my eyes isn't very kind to them.

However the missus can't wait to play with it on her home visits.
