Sunset on Kennesaw Mountain - 11-8-03
I took some time lapse digital images with my Kodak DC3400 this evening. Using a mini-tripod set up on top of my van's roof near Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA.

The link is to a WMV 'movie' I made putting these images together. Total size is about 1.3 MB and I used a 40% reduction in the size of the original images.

I got home about 8:35. I had this post up within 45 minutes, I think.

I used the following programs:

Windows XP native Digital Image transfer from the camera;

Ulead Photo Explorer to resize all the images at once -- to 40% original size;

Windows Movie Maker 2 to make the movie.



I'm glad you like it. I wanted to get a few more images toward the end, but two things happened:

1. It got awfully windy and cold. I didn't go prepared for that.

2. I stood in the van's door to check the settings on top of the camera -- to make sure it wasn't going to flash as it got darker, and the tripod fell over. I knew then that I'd have to do some serious editing to make sure any subsequent images were properly aligned. Being that I was getting cold, I decided to just pack it in at that point.


Overall, I'm pleased with the result.
