My drawing of part the historic TC Steel site

I used to dabble in drawing with pencils. This is a drawing made from a photograph taken on a 10th grade field trip I attended to the historic TC Steel site as part of my art class.

(Most of my stuff my mother has one of my best ones was stolen by the subject @ school.)

It's of a fallen tree out site and behind the large barn like structure located in front of what was his house. They use that building to house some of TC steel’s actual works on site. The tree had been knocked over buy a storm that happened a few days before the field trip. This on was also displayed in the school library for a period of time as well (my teacher loved it).

(please pardon the stain at the base of the fallen tree trunk I’ve had this for while it got something on it some how when I moved.)

That's pretty good, you should stick it in a flatbed scanner.

It's detailed and everything has fine textures like the wood grain & tree bark... For one I don't have a scanner, for two it's to big to fit and for three the paper has began to yellow with age and there is stain on it under closer inspection.

I'll look and see if I can get my hands on some of my other work

I’d like to learn how-to paint. This reminds me a do have a face a drew from a person in a magazine over @ my mom’s in there china cabinet along with one of my metal works maybe a few if I’m lucky she’s a pack rate and buries everything in her huge closets never to be seen again lol

Some of my old ceramics (nothing specail)

the pots are normally loaded with realistic looking artifical flowers...

Yeah I have a few that are way to big for a scanner too- and the regular camera doesn't really do it justice-

Once I just scanned a bunch of sections of a large piece, and then put it back together in photoshop, it was a pain though.. But it's a good way to clean up stains and stuff like that (amazingly easy to fix)- and then you have a permanent record of it in high resolution without the stain.. You might want to try it sometime if you have a bunch a time and access to scanner.
