Here's a thing I made a few months ago.

that is very good, I like it, very surreal, can you talk us through how you got to the final result?

Thought process:
Well.... at first, I wanted to make a picture of hell.... and I realized that was way too hard (for my current skills). So... I decided to take what I had and just make something like this.

Actual work:
This was made in Bryce 5. The instructions are as follows

note: I don't remember how I did this very well , but I'll try to give a VERY general idea of how I did it

1.start bryce and set it to 360 panoramic view.
2.make 2 or 3 water planes and tilt them at angles (just experiment till you like it)
3.add trees using the multireplicate and place them wherever they look nice.
4.go to the sky lab and add a moon.
5.staying in the sky lab, adjust the clouds and their colors.
6.add blue colored lights where you think reflections would look nice.

7. DONE (sorry for being so general, I really can't remember more than that )

sometimes I find just playing with settings can create some weird and wonderful effects. the "warping" in the middle is effective, as if its all about to be sucked out ..........

(that was accomplished by the 360 panoramic, the tilting, and the lighting)
