Iridium is on a distinguished road

One of my Christmas Presents...

This is my new nightstand companion. Not quite as hard to control and less likely to jam/misfire than one of my semi's.

LOL these are the reasons I don't have $500 video cards...

I really like the wooden grip, it really is quite beautiful, and a bit...Classic. My glocks are great guns, and great looking in their own way. But they just don't have quite the same pizzaz as the stainless w/ wood handle that this revolver has. Not to mention less mechanical parts to rely on with this one.

Heh, like I said, it is my new nightstand companion. It is never in that box (except for when I brought it home). I just set it there for the pic cause it looked goofy on my bedspread that you see behind the box.

They had a .50 cal version of the S&W revolver at the same store, but damn. Talk about a hand cannon. I think a JHP .357 will do just fine, the rounds are cheaper for this one too.

Thanks for the nice words by the way.

Magnum only refers to the speed of the load of the round battleaxe187, the magnum I have refers to the .357 caliber load. The caliber is the actual size of the projectile, ex. .357, .380, .45 9mm etc..

As far as the assault riffle it really is nice to live in the USA to be able to legally buy an AR-15 and change it to an M-16 with the simple change of a firing pin....not that I would have anything like that...

But since you are so informed on the walther why don't you take a look at their actual specs from their website Walther P99
Semi-automatic Pistol

By the way: 9 millimeter = 0.3543307 inch which is actually 3/100ths of an inch smaller diamater of projectile of the .357 caliber:
OMG LOOK OUT FOR THAT .003" extra large "AMERICAN" Projectile..Not to mention the .40 cal Smith and Wesson available for your beloved pistol.

P99 AS, 15 shots, black slide/black frame caliber 9 mm x 19
P99 AS, 11 shots, black slide/black frame caliber .40 S&W
P99 QA, 15 shots, black slide/black frame caliber 9 mm x 19
P99 QA, 15 shots, steel rear sight, ambidextrous slide stop lever caliber 9 mm x 19
P99 QA, 11 shots, black slide/black frame caliber .40 S&W
P99 QA Titanium-Coated, 15 shots, stainless-look slide/black frame caliber 9 mm x 19
P99 QA Titanium-Coated, 11 shots, stainless-look slide/black frame caliber .40 S&W
P99 DAO, 15 shots, black slide/black frame caliber 9 mm x 19
P99 DAO, 11 shots, black slide/black frame caliber .40 S&W

My point was, there is less of a chance of failure with a revolver than with a semi-auto, like my Glock 37 GAP or my Glock 34.

by size i didnt mean the bullets, i meant, the gun, size and weight aswell as the ability to conceal. 605g w/o mag,,, whats yours weigh...? 102mm barrel with a 15 mag cap... and yours... i know that i would much prefer the p99...

By the statement "A magnum, what the heck you need something that size for, oh right ...i forgot,, your in america where bigger is better...."

You said "A magnum" ,..a magnum only refers to the load. If you meant something different, you should have said it in a different way. By the way, it is not that big. If I wanted something where bigger is better, I would have got the .50 cal, LOL. That thing is a friggin hand cannon. I wanted a revolver that I keep by my bed in case something happens where I might need it. I am not trying to conceal my S&W, If I want to conceal, which is legal here in MO and I take full advantage of it.... I carry one of my glocks. You talk about quality, durability and longevity....well that is for another post. This was just to show off my new toy. As what I believe it is "A Heavenly Vision". I could post pics all of my guns, but this one is pretty..

I am not trying to abuse this forum, it has gotten off topic and I am done. Thanks for the nice comments about it.
