new digital Camera..woo hoo

Howdy everyone
just plunked 2300 dolalrs on a new Canon EOS 20D, with a special auto stabilizing lense....woo hoo..., the first shot is with the old olympus 5000z, and the second with the Canon camera, compariably they are the same in terms of smaller prints, but the Canon is to replace my old T-70 that travelled around the world with me, and hopefully this one will too.

System Specs

The Canon sure looks different. Its produced a much colder image than the olympus did

Very nice pics! Especially the second one.

But mind you.. the .jpg compression kind of ruins the first one

I don't know if I would've spent that much on a camera. But they are good pictures.

Hey jeff i really admire your work, wondering what kind of camera i should buy, Im just starting with photo and was wondering what a good camera would be, But not too pricey, looking for something around 500 maybe.

ugggh...was playing around with the settings, inadvertantly set the saturation up way too high and the contrast as well, there is a scroll wheel on the back that allows one to adjust the color and quality on the fly....lol...
time to crack open the manual...

hey swompy just get a good 4 or 5 megapixel point and shoot just to experiment, I have three and decided to get the Canon EOS 20D to replace my aging Canon T-70, but the learning curve isnt that steep really, even I can figure it out...LOL
