Project: SP3CT3R (Concept Sketches)

Here's a couple of images based off a case mod project I'm working on. Working on a side panel sketch right now. Still need to render the top panel, fan grills, etc etc.

I still haven't thought of a good idea for the fron fan grill, but I'm thinking of going for a "prop" look. Like a jet engine and stick a Vantec Tornado for effect.. anyway, open to suggestions. The blue dots you see on the front panel are the Power and HDD lights. Still haven't figured out what I'll do for the power button either.

very nice.

Try a rustic prison look for the fan

(big and rusty lookin with a beat up metal grate in front of it...perhaps sunk in a bit so it looks like it has a ventilation fan leading to it)

Well I'm going for a sleek, futuristic kind of feel so metal grates wouldn't fit in much. The case will be all smoothed out and painted ultra glossy white. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Same thing. I just resized/moved the "trim" thing in the middle a tad and added the fan.

if you want it to be gloss white, try getting a chrome 120mm fan for it then...that'd look tight.

I'll probably end up with a 120mm Aluminium w/ Blue LEDs.
Oh, and the side panels' render was updated and w00t, just ordered my Razer Diamondback Plasma LE mouse.. looks aweomse. Can't wait to try it out. 1600 DPI is mind-blowing..

Lookin sweet... For the top a nice window could be cool with white cathodes shining on a piece of etched plexi!

had a really killer idea. what if you spliced the power LED to use 2 LED's isntead of one, and sunk them way deep inside the eye sockets of the skull and covered them in some sort of translucent material so when they were off they were invisible, but while on the made the eye sockets glow?

I think that'd be tight as hell..perhaps blue, to match the fan?

Nice idea. I was thinking about doing something like that but I suck in electrical.
