shame on you, its a 16 month old female. The park rangers came and pushed her with little trouble into a pen and told me she hadnt eat for a long time, long before she was weened her mother abandoned her and tourist were feeding her. They told me she would be euthenized if she couldnt adapt, so sad really.

nice pic, jeff. bears can be sure such peaceful yet very aggressive creatures.

did you ask the park ranger if she could be taken to a zoo if she couldn't adapt? Euthanizing an animal because it's mother abandoned it, I feel is such an inapropriate reason to kill an animal.

I think it is the park policy to rehabilitate younger bears, but older ones are definitely removed or shot
