Sunsets in Nevada

I know you all may be tired of my pics, but I took these recently hiking in the Stillwater Range in Nevada

there are petroglyphs on the basalt rocks and volcanic tuffa formations on top, here indians stood and watch the sunsets and perhaps predicted their future. Insects swarm, birds eat these insects, voles and rabbits live among the scrub oak and coyote and kit fox eat them, a coopers hawk or raven may fly overhead soaring on the warm updrafts from the rocks that retain the afternoon heat and provide comfort when the temperature drops twenty or thirty degrees at night.

I like the sing whisp of cloud right above the sun in the second pic, makes it the classic sunset pic, very nice Jeff.

Just very soothing to walk in the desert, and observe, you know....perhaps like a beach, listening to waves surge in and out, here in Nevada, I sit on anchient shorelines and wait for the stars to come out, and listen to the coyote call.....I enjoy that.

Those sunsets rival the ones we seen when we were in mexico; amazing compared to the ones I see here.
