that is some very good work for hand held, I havent tried myself to capture a bug per se, always managed to get eaten alive by flies....sheesh

Hah hah, why does everyone macro flower shots when they get a camera?

Anyway, very nice shots. I love the one with the bug on it. Just feels "authentic". Good job.

I guess it is a real challenge almost like the tripod and black and white film and coloured filters, you just want to get the right compisition, bugs on the other hand wont tolerate too much, unless they are spiders of course....now pics of spiders are really really cool

actually, i usually macro computer parts

here are a few more i thought looked cool

and i decided to crop the fly picture a bit.

$300CAD ($225US i'd guess)

its not an expensive camera by any means. It has quite a few features, and its tiny. Only setback is its only 3.2MP, which i only take pictures @ 166X1200 anyways, so not that big of a deal.

Just goes to show ya that you don't always need the nice, fancy, expensive stuff..you're just paying for the brand most of the time (even though Canon is just cameras really

Secure Digital. it comes with 16mb

but i bought a 1GB card for less than $100CAD.

@ the highest quality, its like 1.6mb a picture.. so ~10.

I use both XD and SD cards in all my cameras and I prefer to shoot RAW, so I purchased the 1 gig cards from the get go and left the 16mb in the drawer, I must have at least a few 32 mb cards too.
