Sequoia national park, this cub was a female that was orphaned in spring and she was searching for food and begging from tourists. Park rangers immediately rounded her up and informed me that because she was habituated to humans she had to be moved or adopted, but her prognosis was poor as she is too young to be weened and she wasnt quite a teenager yet. It is sad, but it is a routine thing perhaps, I just took a few pics befoe the tried to catch her (they were unsuccessful of course)

Hope you have a good day.....i enjoy seeing pics like this and watching wild life documentary's on tv.......the is many animals i will probably never see in real life in the natural habitat..unless i had one huge holiday to parts of America or Canada..
this is were they are best viewed id imagine...living in a city tends to be dull for this type of life.everything i see i have seen thousands of times before. |

I am fortunate to have been raised by a father that insisted I go and find the wild where ever I can, but I am amused by the clever fox and coyote, who wander the streets of my hometown with impunity, having adapted to human beings and prospering on the golf courses and alley ways of our city. Just this evening I drove to Grizzely Bay California and watch the Golden Eagle soar among the Tule reeds and caught a rare glimpse of the Tule elk, but I didnt have my long lense and the light gave me just enough to paint the rest of the picture in my own mind....but then that is the magic of life...give me enough light and enough time and I will do the rest with my camera if I can.
