Some of the trees have suffered damage in the past and gaps do exist, but they are often filled with nests or dens or large accumulations of parasitic plants...but yeah...they do.

these trees are incredible, I am a tree lover and find them most fascinating, even as "teenagers" they have lived several centuries.
