Well I've been working on this the last few days, and I think I'm satisfied with the result. The brushing might need a little re-working, not really sure. Hope you guys like it

Reminds me of looking head on to a giant golden cock roach in the middle of morphing into a squid..err. something.. Definitely a cool pic!

The brushing was done in photoshop; the image itself was rendered in Cinema 4D.

v. cool nicely done too.

How did you get the render to zoom to the eye like that? did you use a camera with effects like fish eye - i wanted to get that look before and couldnt. Thats why i dont like 3D it never does what i want lol.

It's a zoom trick I learnt for C4D. Taken from Coregfx.com

Look at it for 10 seconds- it is a bigger and sped up version.
I want to morph it better- instead of using the the combine and fade-- but not sure how to get a good morph in photoshop...

Hate to inform you Drakon but that is not very original, I have seen about 10 people in just my city do a similar type thread with a similar type name. good try though.

Well the original render is yellow / bluish-white. I just added some grunge layers and color balanced them to get the yellow/brownish color. But I could re-render it in those colors for ya. Same size, smaller or bigger?

my main point is most of the good ideas have been taken already and it is almost damn near impossible to be completely original. It was a good effort and looks very "pretty" but its meaning is dry because its hard to be original now adays. If I see something original then I will give it the credit it deserves. How can I be a hater? Because I disagree with some of you? Sounds pretty self-rightous to me. It's just a picture.
