The glory of black & white

Just fiddling around with some lighting and black and white and was amazed by the contrast and effect I got on this. Picture is professionally done, btw...I didn't take it (high end Canon digi-cam...not exactly sure which one though...or what lense)

that is a nice shot, and i like the fade to black on the lhs - perfect for text eg. a poem or something

i do too, actually....which is rare. I almost always think my writing is mediocre at best

Good work man.....
I think art is about transforming the person through the naked eye to the brain and to the heart and back to the palette and canvas. The first transformation occurs with the artist, then the eye of the beholder, and then back to the artist again.
I think its wonderful PJ, and I would love to see more of these really, I write poetry myself but like all urban American Haiku it lacks the gentle realism of Japanese prose, but it works for me, as yours does as well.
Without our hearts we cannot feel the true depth of the transformation that washes over us when we enjoy the compelling works of others....thankyou for your work.
