Logitech G9 Laser Mouse @ DH
Logitech G9 Laser Mouse Review
___________________________ Logitech are a name synonymous with quality computer peripherals. If you’ve ever been considering the purchase of a new keyboard, mouse, webcam, or even speakers, a Logitech product may very well have been on your shortlist. Today we’re going to look at the Logitech G9, it may have been around for a while but the mouse is still relevant in today’s market and has aged well considering how fast tech changes these days.

Re: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse @ DH
I have the mouse for more than half a year now. The best mouse I have ever used in all my years of eh, using a mouse.

Re: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse @ DH
Must say Ive had the mouse for nearly a year. Its Fantastic, as a mouse. Setpoint is rubbish though, i could never get it to work on XP, works fine on Vista.
However, if you do manage to make setpoint work, you can individually map all the buttons on the mouse, so you can move the DPI switch to a more comfortable location if you so wish, such as Middle Click, or the side scroll part of the scroll wheel. Interchangeable grips are nice, but i got used to using the smaller rough grip and dont use the larger one anymore. The Weights, really DO make a diffrence, i find the mouse much easier to control when it has the full compliment of 28grammes in than if i remove the drawer alltogether. All in all , fantastic mouse. Was a bit bemused as to how late the Dh review was on this! its been out ages. Better than that Mambo rubbish from Razer anyday! |

Re: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse @ DH
???
Why did you guys review the G9 mouse? The G9x mouse is out now and it probably would have been smarter to get your hands on that so people could compare it to the Razer Mamba (which I picked up over the G9x). |

Everytime I've had a razer mouse I've encountered hardware problems. I do like my razer keyboard though, I love logitech mice.

Re: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse @ DH
This I totally agree with and makes me wander off topic a bit with a bit of a suggestion and more of a begging request....
Regarding video card reviews, every site on the net is always testing insane resolutions running the newest video card on the newest processor with absolutely zero regard for people hanging on to perfectly capable systems that could benefit immensely from a gpu upgrade. It is next to impossible to draw any accurate conclusion as to how much benefit one might gain by upgrading their video card because the system specs are significantly different. Take my system for example. I'm running a Core2Quad Kentsfield Q6600 revision G0 which is probably the most popular processor in the last two years (it has the most user reviews of all desktop processors on newegg with over 3000 reviews). I currently have absolutely no interest in replacing this processor as it is so fast I'm still amazed with it over a year later. I would like to see reviews with not only the fastest system available, but also results to compare with popular builds such as mine to see how significant a jump I might get were I to replace my video card. I realize it's more work for the reviewer/site hosting the review, but it shouldn't be too much of a bother if they drew a baseline system and stuck with it for a year or so (run periodic/bi-yearly polls of what your audience is running and calculate an average i suppose). As it stands now I don't read video card reviews because I don't see any way to come to a conclusion as to whether I might like a new card or not. Anyways, sorry to go so off topic, just something that's been bugging me for YEARS
