Hmmm, Sharkoon's Xtactic or Logitech's G35?
Big question

Gastrian will become famous soon enough

Re: Sharkoon XTactic Digital Surround Sound Headset Review @ DH

The fact that it is Xbox360 and PS3 compatible alone is a big selling point for me as I game through the same monitor so having a single set work on multiple platforms is fantastic for a product like this.

Quick question. Can this headset support dual inputs? Can I plug it up to my Xbox360 and PC at the same time? Of course I don't want to use them at the same time but I don't want to have to keep unplugging cables.

I would say that for PC gaming, the G35 is the best option. If however you want to use the headset for more media based applications and gaming then I would recommend the Sharkoon.

No it doesn't support dual inputs. You will have to switch over the optical cable and plug the microphone cable into the inline control to change from PC to XBOX.

dannsd is on a distinguished road

Re: Sharkoon X-Tatic Digital Surround Sound Headset Review @ DH

I am looking to purchase a quality headset for PS3 and XBOX360. Has anyone tried Sharkoon and can review it a little further? Is it just a giant mess of wires?

What other headsets are there out there that can do that-- from google I have found just this Sharkoon headset and Tritton AV PRO.

Thanks

Re: Sharkoon X-Tatic Digital Surround Sound Headset Review @ DH

When using with consoles, the X-Tatic is far from a mess of wires, although it may have a couple more than your average headset. The headset requires one wire, plugging directly into the SCU, unless you are using an Xbox 360 where the microphone cable connects directly to the in-line volume control. If you're using it with a PS3 it requires a USB connection for the microphone from the SCU to your PS3. So altogether there are only 2 cables into the console and one for the headset when you are using it.

Hope this helps!
