I bought a laptop a few months ago - its fairly hi-spec and works a treat so far (1gig of ram, 60gb HD, AMD Sempron 1.8ghz).

Having just finished exams I decide to install a game on it for the first time (Project IGI) and i go to play it. The game loaded fine, but to my disappointment the intro video and the game in general would be painfully slow and stuttery, with audio stuttering and looping occuring all the time...

...i think i waited for 10 mins for the intro video to finish which usually lasts about 45 seconds! The game was unplayable since the game would move on 1 frame about every 10 seconds.

I downloaded the latest gfx card driver (SIS M760GX), theres no progs runninng in the background, my laptop is of a higher spec than my old desktop computer which played the game no problems. Also the laptop is plugged into the mains - its not running off the battery.

I have absolutely no idea what I can do to remedy this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
