Laptop Advice Please

Hey folks. My dad (not a gamer) needs a new laptop to travel with. He's always eager to have cutting edge stuff. He wants something super fast, but he really doesnt need graphics performance. A nice screen, decent amount of storage and LIGHTWEIGHT is what he wants.Especially lightweight. What would your recommendations be?

Look into ASUS. They make some very solid/light/fast laptops.

Avoid Compaq/HP they overheat too easily.

Simple, Dell Latitude D420... 1kg, light and with a Core 2 Duo, what more do you need? Tis the best business laptop

I personally like IBM Thinkpad T-series notebooks, but... they're not exactly the lightest notebooks around... But they are sleek and professional.

I'd go with this too. However, grab the actual IBM ones that came out before Lenvovo took over (pre T42).

2 other companies to look at: Acer (only their Intel series, preferably their higher end Aspire), and LG (I love the T1 series). I must sell 20 Intel based Acer laptops for every 1 of any other companies laptop (other than Toshibas Tecra or IBMs T series).
