wireless gaming really pissing me off
I forked out $240 to get a Belkin N1 Wireless router along with a wireless adapter for my notebook and now gaming is almost unbearable. My ping isn't bad at all in games, and there is no packet loss, but there's a wicked bad trigger delay in nearly every game I play....I press fire and half a second later it shoots. What the hell is going on?

a few
I have an Inspiron E1705 with: Core Duo T2300, go 7800 256MB, 1GB DDR2 533MHz, 80GB 7200 RPM HD, 17" Widescreen LCD @60Hz. I've been playing a few games like Tribes, FEAR Combat, and Battlefield 2. All of them seem to have their own quirks. In Tribes, there is simply a trigger delay from the time I press fire, and the time it actually shoots. In Battlefield 2, the gun fires instantly, but the shots do not register. I'm at a complete loss, I'm all of 5 feet away from my router, should there really be this kind of lagg with my setup?
