New Lap Top in mind

Hi guys, I thought I might ask you what kind of lap top would you get if you wanted a gaming one, I have a few brand names that have been suggested, but I wanna compare to your thoughts on the matter, it will help me decide better, I'm willing to spend no more than 3k on one, I think that is reasonable price for a high end machine...hopefully anyways. I have also been told to just get a new desktop, although around 6 years old, can run most games of today, so I'm fine with the one I currently have, I want something that I can take with me.

God it's been a while since I dabbled with laptops, still got a few lying around the place but when I was into them the big gaming machines seemed to come from Rock, Dell, Alienware (Clevo make these and are usually cheaper). Given the choice Rock have a proven record and would be my personal choice.

OOOOHHHHH BABY!!!

if u gonna spend 3k, do it with style

check out that monsterosity, though i dont recommend it for gaming, rather multimedia.

if u need REAL juice get this one.

i like Dell for laptops as they are very good about customer satisfaction to me. BE SURE TO GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH ADVANCED EXCHANGE!!!

that warranty was a HUGE help to me, if the laptop were to be dropped into a pool, they'll replace it, if u kick it (on accident) they'll replace it. if it blows up leveling 30 square miles they'll replace it.

the way it works is that you ask them for a replacement laptop and state the reasons why, then they will try and help you fix whatever happened first if its some kind of software issue. then they will tell you that they will send out the replacement and you will get it soon. THEN you get the (usually refurbished) laptop in the mail and swap it for the busted up one, the package includes a prepaid shipping back to Dell usually by DHL. you then stick the included label over the old one and arrange for pick up.

all you need is to call DHL and leave the package outside for them to get. but if you dont feel too comfortable like that you can always bring it to a DHL to ship for you so you dont risk it getting stolen.
