XP Drivers for Sony Vaio VGN N38E

Hi All,

I bought a Sony Vaio laptop last week. Wasn't too pushed on Windows Vista, so wiped it and installed XP Pro onto it. Now, the problem is that no XP drivers seem to be available for it.

I'm looking for all drivers (display, audio, network, wireles...) available. Anyone know where I could get these? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exact Model: Sony Vaio VGN - N38E

Cheers.

On the bottom it says model is PCG-7Y1M, on the front of the laptop (corner of the screen) it says VGN-N38E. Cheers.

Hi again,

Those drivers seem to be for Vista only, would you know if there are similar drivers for XP available?

Cheers.

It's ok, I've found some drivers:

ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/OS/XPDOWNGRADE/SZ4-SZ5/WAN

The file: WAN_CARD_DRIVERS work fine.

Re: XP Drivers for Sony Vaio VGN N38E

Thanks for your link. But this is where I'm confused. Doesn't MS offer a downgrade from VISTA to XP? If so, shouldn't there be driver support for both OSes? Why the stress for us to locate these things ourselves? Anyways. Windows 7 is coming out, and I like that MUCH BETTER than VISTA. We'll see how it turns.
